Kamal Azad, President

Kamal Azad is a wildlife researcher, conservation practitioner, and social worker with extensive experience in biodiversity conservation and community engagement. He holds a Master’s degree in Wildlife Science from North Orissa University and an M.Phil. from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). Currently pursuing his Ph.D. at Bodoland University, Kokrajhar, his research focuses on tiger conservation, wildlife occupancy, and community participation in conservation efforts. Kamal has been actively involved in wildlife monitoring and conservation programs across Northeast India, particularly in the conservation of the Royal Bengal Tiger. Through his work, he strives to bridge the gap between conservation science and community development.

Nur Islam Ali, Secretary

Nur Islam Ali is a dedicated educator and mentor with a deep commitment to promoting quality education among marginalized communities. As the Head Teacher of No. 1 Naobandha LP School, he has devoted many years to shaping young minds through innovative teaching, personal guidance, and student counseling. His passion for inclusive education and community development has helped numerous students overcome social and economic barriers, enabling them to achieve their academic aspirations and personal growth.

Rukma Acharya, Tresurer

Rukma Acharya is a committed educator with a strong passion for nurturing young minds and promoting quality education. As an Assistant Teacher at Millennium Academy (Assamese Medium), she has dedicated many years to supporting students in their academic and personal development. Her patient approach, dedication to teaching, and focus on creating a positive learning environment have earned her the respect of both students and colleagues.

Poonam Sinha, Member

Poonam Sinha is an educator with a strong academic background and a passion for community-oriented learning. She holds a Master’s degree in Zoology from North Orissa University and has been serving as an Assistant Teacher at Swahid Durgi Bhumij TE Model School since 2012. Throughout her career, she has remained dedicated to educating and counseling students, particularly those from marginalized communities. Her commitment to academic excellence, student welfare, and social empowerment has made her a respected figure among students, parents, and colleagues alike.

Priyanka Sharma, Member

Priyanka Sharma has been serving as an Assistant Teacher under the Department of Education, Government of Assam, since 2012. A passionate and inspiring educator, she believes in empowering students through quality education and holistic learning. Beyond the classroom, she is a nature enthusiast and a strong advocate for environmental awareness, encouraging young learners to develop a sense of responsibility towards nature and sustainable living. Her dedication to education and environmental stewardship continues to make a positive impact on the lives of her students.
